Pig Latin Cocina🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴

I want to apologize for not having pictures for this review. We had Pig Latin Cocina at a catered event and had to share.

Tacos

The tacos were served on a blue corn tortilla/taco shell. It had such an amazing flavor…we could have eaten it by itself. They had the option of the Pineapple Braised Pork or the Guava Lava Chicken. We both had one of each. The pork had really good flavor. I felt that it was a little on the greasy side, but that is also very typical with pork. The chicken. Oh my God it was so good. It definitely had some spice, but it was a good burn.

Elotes

The elotes was very traditional on the cob. I think it would have been better if we had been towards the front of the line, because by the time we got to that station, it was sitting in a whole lot of sauce. But, that is bound to happen when you are preparing this in bulk.

Extras

John had the black beans. He felt that they had really good flavor for being black beans, they had just the right amount of seasoning. He also had the Island Sauce, which was a guacamole blend of some sort. It had really good flavor, was nice and fresh. The rice was a little on the dry side, but again when you are cooking in bulk that tends to happen. They did offer lime wedges and cilantro separately, which did help to offset that

Final Thoughts…

The food was amazing! We can’t wait to check out their food truck or their stand alone restaurant. If you want some good tacos, check them out!
