Overseas 101 is probably our favorite Chinese restaurant here in Colorado Springs. It is our go to. The quality of the food is always consistent and the staff is super friendly. We have never had a bad meal there.
I always end up ordering the same thing but John tends to like to switch things up from time to time. So let me give you the break down on what we ordered…from the appetizers to the main entree.
The crab wontons here are so good. They are very generous with the filling, and the filling has great flavor. It comes as an order of 6 and is served with sweet and sour sauce.
I am not sure what the filling is in these dumplings, but I could most likely eat it straight and be good. Again, they are super generous with the filling on these. These come as an order of 6, and are served with an amazing sauce. I honestly am not sure what the sauce it, but it’s so good.
Combination Lo Mein
The Lo Mein at Overseas has great flavor. It has a combination of the vegetables, as well as beef, pork, chicken, and shrimp. And I’m not talking about little pieces of meat. They are huge!
I absolutely love this dish. The breading isn’t super heavy, and the glaze is just that…a glaze. The dish isn’t swimming in sauce. Also, they have no problem if you need or want them to adjust the heat level for the dish.
Beef Egg Foo Young
They prepare this dish a little differently than I have seen at other locations. They are very generous with the meat and vegetables. The sauce isn’t as thick as other places that I have seen. The flavor of the dish is excellent, and the egg pancake has an amazing flavor of it’s own.
